Poetry in Grasmere 2010 - Chase Twichell & Andrew Forster
Chase Twichell & Andrew Forster
Tuesday 11 May
A rare opportunity to hear American poet Chase Twichell.
Chase Twichell launches her new collection, Horses where the answers should have been: New and Selected Poems, drawn from over 35 years' worth of work. Her poetry is marked by a strong identification with the natural world. Her central concerns are environmentalism, her difficult childhood and lifelong struggle with depression, and her study of Zen Buddhism.
Chase Twichell's collection, Dog Language will be discussed at the Wordsworth Trust Poetry Reading Group on Thursday 22 April, 2.30pm - 4.00pm. This is a free event, but booking is essential. Click here for further information.

Andrew Forster, the Wordsworth Trust's Literature Officer, launches his new collection, Territory. His first collection, Fear of Thunder, was shortlisted for the
Forward First Collection Prize in 2007. The poems are mainly set in the former mining village of Leadhills in South West Scotland. They explore what it means to
make a home in a particular place, and the relationship with the environment that this implies.
