Poetry in Grasmere 2010
Come and explore contemporary poetry with us. Poetry in Grasmere, April - October 2010

Welcome to the Wordsworth Trust's 2010 Poetry in Grasmere season
Over the last few years we have watched our audiences continue to grow and it's terrific to welcome so many new faces, and to see so many old friends. 2009 was a tremendous season, with so many highlights: Jen Hadfield's fascinating music in the dignified surroundings of St Oswald's Church; Fred
D'Aguiar's moving poems for the victims of the Virginia Tech shootings; Michael Symmons Roberts' imaginings of the last words of victims of 9/11.
Once again we are proud to present a wonderfully diverse programme, with some of the world's finest poets alongside newer talents and those who just deserve a much wider audience. This year we are delighted to launch the season with a new three-day showcase of women's poetry, presented in association with Poet Laureate, Carol Ann Duffy. Click here for further information.
The Wordsworth Trust 2010 season is a celebration of the tremendous range of contemporary poetry, and we are very pleased to be holding it again in St Oswald's Church, the last resting place of the Wordsworths. We look forward to seeing you.
Michael McGregor, Director.
