Legacies
Leave a Legacy
By remembering the Wordsworth Trust in your will, you will make a lasting contribution to the future of the Wordsworth Trust. Legacies help us to acquire and conserve important manuscripts, books and paintings for the benefit of future generations, and to continue our award-winning educational and artistic activities.
Bequests played a central part in Wordsworth's life, and they have also formed the foundation of our internationally renowned collection. If you would like to remember us in your will, there are a number of ways you can do so.
- Leave a pecuniary bequest, i.e. a fixed sum.
- Leave a residuary bequest, i.e. a percentage of the remainder of your estate.
- Make a gift of an object or work of art.
Because the Wordsworth Trust is a charity, any bequest that you make to us is exempt from Inheritance Tax. Therefore any potential tax to be paid out of your estate could be reduced or, potentially, eliminated entirely.
If you would like to consider us in your will, we recommend that you speak to your solicitor. However, if you would like an informal discussion, please contact Mark Bains, Development Manager on (015394) 63504, or complete the contact form and we will get in touch with you.
